Practice Adventuring: Junk Food

So it's no secret that I'm not on a diet. Basically I'll eat anything that looks delicious, smells delicious, sounds delicious, or have been told is delicious. Or if I'm hungry I'll eat anything. So now that we've got that settled here's some random pictures of junk food and other food that I for some reason feel the need to document just so I can remember how unhealthy I let myself get while I studied abroad. <3

Okay, so this isn't junk food- this is a perfectly good lunch. The cafeterias at Yonsei amaze me. At TU our cafeteria is awful and extremely expensive. Like $12 for meat you can't even identify. Cafeterias at Yonsei? Spicy Mongolian chicken and vegetables over rice for less than $4. Seriously.

There's a Korean restaurant near campus that my friends and I eat at on a regular basis. This was the first (and only) time I had "ramyeon" in Korea. This was ramen with rice cake and egg- super yummy!

This chocolate tasted like a solidified mocha. Well I actually haven't finished it yet. I think mochas are better liquified.

There's a coffee shop called Angel Dio Coffee in the basement of my dorm. Sigh. It's not good for me, but I looooove it. This was a rare time when I didn't get something with coffee in it. It was a cookies and cream frappuccino.

HA! Okay so at the convenience store in my dorm there's always these shady deals that you don't know about. Actually not shady- awesome deals. For example- every time I buy fruit, I get free yogurt! Love it! But this was shady. My roommate bought a sweet roll and she got this "Super Red" for free. I'm convinced they have to hand it out for free because no one will buy it. GROSS. It's like water with pieces of jellied tomato in it. WHY DOES THIS EXIST.

Gotta try foreign snack cakes, right? They'll be better than American snack cakes? NOPE. Just as painfully average. This is supposed to be red velvet cake. But it had cranberries in it. Cranberry cake? It kind of resembles the picture?

As if it wasn't overpriced enough- it has a hole in the bottom. RIP OFF.

Mango Cheesecake Bingsoo! Looking out over Sinchon while hanging out, people watching, and eating dessert with my roommate after class one day. Ahh, I love this place.

It's really odd- basically all Korean "chips" remind me of cereal haha. Not just the flavors either! The texture. It's very light and airy. In fact, the savory flavors seem out of place.

Extremely underwhelming Korean candy bar. Oh well- it was like 50 cents.

We get ice cream way too often here...but when it's cheap and it's in the convenience store in the basement of your dorm and you're up studying... This kind was "la best." Cheesecake bits and blueberry swirls in vanilla ice cream.
